Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By booking a shipment, creating an account or using any Fredicare Logistics service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Our services
Fredicare Logistics provides medical logistics (including pharmaceuticals, laboratory specimens and medical supplies) and general logistics (courier, fulfilment and cargo) services within Nigeria. Services are subject to vehicle availability, road conditions and regulatory requirements.
3. Prohibited items
We do not carry illegal substances, unlicensed pharmaceuticals, firearms, ammunition, explosives, live animals (unless separately agreed), human remains, hazardous chemicals beyond approved categories, counterfeit goods, or any item prohibited by Nigerian law. We may inspect and refuse any consignment.
4. Medical consignments
Medical shipments must be properly packaged and, where applicable, sealed and temperature-controlled. You confirm you are legally permitted to send the consignment. A documented chain of custody applies to all clinical material.
5. Pricing and payment
Prices are quoted at booking and are based on weight, distance, delivery speed, handling requirements and declared value. VAT and applicable levies are added where required. Payment is due before dispatch unless credit terms have been agreed in writing.
6. Delivery timelines
Estimated delivery windows are given in good faith but are not guaranteed. Fredicare is not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, traffic, strikes, flooding, civil unrest or regulatory action.
7. Liability
Unless insured cover is purchased, our liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the shipment fee paid or the actual documented loss, and in any case capped at ₦50,000 per consignment. Insured shipments are covered up to the declared value, subject to claim assessment.
8. Claims
Claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the scheduled delivery date, with supporting documentation. We assess claims within 5 working days and issue a written decision.
9. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
10. Rider obligations
Riders are independent operators within the Fredicare network. Riders must maintain valid documents, follow our handling standards and keep their profile and passport photograph current.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate any account that breaches these terms, provides false information, or poses a risk to our operations, riders or other customers.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
